Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Foodow’s websites, apps, and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have parental consent where required) to use the Service. The Service is not designed for children.

Foodow provides meal plans, recipes, nutrition estimates, and related content for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or registered dietitian before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have medical conditions, food allergies, or are pregnant or nursing.
• Nutritional values (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and other micronutrients) displayed on the Service are sourced primarily from reference databases (such as the USDA Food Data Central); where an ingredient is not yet available in those databases, the value shown is an AI-generated estimate. All values are approximations only and may differ from actual food products due to brand variation, preparation method, cooking losses, ingredient substitutions, and measurement differences.
• Do not use the nutritional information provided by the Service as the basis for clinical decisions, medication dosing (including insulin dosing for diabetes management), or any form of medical nutrition therapy. Always seek guidance from a licensed healthcare provider for clinically accurate nutritional information.
• You are solely responsible for verifying ingredients, allergen content, and the suitability of any meal plan for your individual health needs.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Some features require a paid subscription or one-time purchases. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers.

• Fees, billing cycle, and included usage limits (if any) are described at checkout and/or in your account.
• Taxes may apply depending on your location.
• If you cancel, access may continue until the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.
• EU/EEA consumers: you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. By starting to use the Service before the 14-day period expires, you expressly request early performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.
• Refunds: subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion. To request a refund or report a billing issue, contact us at support@foodow.io.

• Do not misuse the Service, attempt to bypass limitations, or interfere with security features.
• Do not upload or submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the Service except where permitted by law.

If you submit content (e.g., preferences, pantry items, reviews, feedback), you grant Foodow a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use it to operate, improve, and provide the Service.

Meal plans, recipes, instructions, and nutritional information on the Service are generated or estimated by AI models and algorithmic calculations. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your individual needs.

• All calorie, macro (protein, carbohydrate, fat), and micronutrient (vitamin, mineral, fiber, sugar, sodium) values are sourced primarily from reference databases such as the USDA Food Data Central; where an ingredient is not yet available in those databases, the value shown is an AI-generated estimate. In all cases they are approximations only and are not laboratory-tested values.
• Actual nutritional content of any dish may differ significantly depending on specific brands used, exact weights, preparation and cooking method, substitutions, and natural variation in whole foods.
• AI-generated meal plans and recipes may contain errors, omissions, or unsuitable suggestions. You must independently verify that any meal plan is safe and appropriate for you.
• Do not rely on AI-generated nutritional data for clinical nutrition therapy, insulin dosing, allergen management, or any decision requiring medically accurate information.
• The in-app disclaimer banner shown on meal and nutrition detail pages provides additional notice. Both that banner and these Terms constitute our full disclosure regarding the AI-generated and estimated nature of all nutritional content.

You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclosure.

IMPORTANT: The allergen and ingredient information shown on the Service is derived from AI-generated recipes and reference database estimates. It may be incomplete or inaccurate.

• Foodow does not guarantee that any meal plan, recipe, or ingredient list is free from any specific allergen, including the 14 major EU allergens (gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphur dioxide/sulphites, lupin, and molluscs).
• If you have a food allergy or intolerance, you must independently verify every ingredient in a recipe before cooking or consuming it. Do not rely solely on the Service.
• Foodow accepts no liability for allergic reactions, intolerances, or adverse health events arising from reliance on allergen or ingredient information displayed on the Service.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violate these Terms or if required by law.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Foodow DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Foodow WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence and use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
